Cats
We have had 5 cats in total since we moved here in 1998. The first two, Scsi and Linux, were two brothers named after computer terms. Sadly Scsi (pronounced Scuzzy) died in 2009. Linux started howling around the house at night looking for him. This seemed strange since he had spent much of his life getting beaten up by his BIG brother Scsi. We decided to get a Maine Coon to give him some company. While purchasing Leonie (Leo), the breeder mentioned that a lively little ginger kitten was free to a good home as she had a faulty rib cage. Thus Tiger and Leo came to live with us and certainly cured Linux's howling.
ScsiScsi topped the scales at over 18 pounds and had to be given small dog doses of his annual boosters. We tried to slim him down but this was difficult with two cats.
LinuxThis is Scsi's little brother. He has always been a normal sized cat, which compared to Scsi made him look small. Now that we also have Leo and Tiger (Maine Coons) poor Linux still looks small although he's still able to hold his own with his bigger adopted sisters. Now 12 years old and probably in better shape than when he was a "young un".

ScsiScsi was a fine cat. He certainly liked his bait. He was a large cat anyway with a very easy going personality. A great climber in his youth and escaped once as a kitten by leaping into the night form a first floor window. We found him by torchlight climbing in a nearby bush.
Linux and ScsiThis is one of my favourite photographs. Probably the earliest of the two brothers exploring our house after they arrived.
Tiger and Leo in a rare moment of togethernessLeo and Tiger came from a breeder in Manchester. Leonnie was purchased for about £300, but Tiger had a hole in her sternum so the breeder thought that she wouln't survive very long and couldn't sell her. So she came with us free of charge, which is why she is nicknamed BOGOF (Buy One Get On Free). Anyway she's 3 years old now and is probably the liveliest lunatic of the bunch. Certainly no ill effects from her original sternum problem which I think has now healed up ok.
Leonie
Leoni is the larger of our two Maine Coons. She still has a long way to go before she will match Scsi for weight, but she's a long and leggy young lady.
